Management Tools
We built the VpSsd.com management tools to be as simple and thorough as possible. Why? Because we use them, too. We run various servers for different purposes, and we use the interface we built to manage them.What does this mean for you? It means you're getting tools that have been refined over and over again by end-users like yourself. We don't like it when things don't work like they should. If they don't, we fix them.
Our tools allow you to easily:
- Connect via VNC
- Power off and on your VPS
- Mount CDs/DVDs
- Monitor traffic and CPU usage
- Manage your domain names
Do It Yourself
While other services charge you extra money just to get in your way, we cut out all of the unneeded services and expensive software, giving you only the tools you need.We give you disk space, RAM, CPUs, internet, VNC, and an install disk, and you do the rest. You can truly customize your VPS to fit your exact needs.
Choose from Ubuntu 10.04, Debian Wheezy, Centos 5, Fedora 14, Gentoo, or request another distro, and you'll be on your way. Just mount the installation CD/DVD and have at it. It really is that simple.
Virtualization
We use KVM for virtualization.All RAM is guaranteed and set apart just for you. If your plan has 1 GB of RAM, that's how much we have set apart for you. We don't oversell RAM.

Processors
Your VPS will run on servers with dual-quad core 2.26GHz Xeon (L5520) processors (8 cores and 16 threads per physical server).Storage
We use 600GB VelociRaptors (pdf) for storage (in RAID 1 for redundancy). We also have optional SSD storage, for which we use OCZ Deneva SSDs. These are enterprise-grade drives with minimal performance degradation.Live Migration
Our servers are set up in such a way that we are able to migrate your VPS to another host server while it's running. This means that we can make upgrades without turning off your VPS.Data Center
Our servers are located in a data center in Santa Clara, California (USA).Operating Systems
We try to offer the most commonly needed operating systems. We have tested and currently offer the following:- CentOS 5
- Debian Wheezy
- Fedora 14
- Gentoo
- Ubuntu Server 12.04
We do not carry Windows Server licenses, but if you have both a license and an install DVD (we can't distribute it, but you can upload it to our servers), we are indeed able to host it (we have customers using Windows Server 2008 R2). Check the contact page to work this out. Using Windows does not affect the pricing, except that you must have your own license.
